French Bread Behind the scenes (11)

I thought I will just summarize what they said here so I don't need to repeat it again and again.

First off this stream which they have on a near monthly basis usually talks about what they are doing, sometimes interviews with other developers (mainly fighting games) or even unofficial unveils. They also answer question sent to them via a form you can fill up

Today happens to be another unveil episode.

First a lot of questions directed at them regarding the long combos. If you have no idea, check that youtube link out. Their answer is they are working on it. Interestingly near the end they said they reluctant to use the burst mechanic to do stop long combos.

They also unveiled they are releasing a new version of the game and not a patch. The new version of the game is called Under the Night In Birth - EXelate.

Here's a blurry screenshot of the new title screen Narita tried to show using his smart phone. With that he also unveil a new character for it.

Chaos is a character which uses stands like a Jojo adventure character. His stand is more like a creature he can summon.

There are also questions about the consumer edition (aka console port). They say they are working on it and the programmer is working hard to bring it over. As a teaser he showed us this.

And this
He did tease of something else they are working on but he didn't say much about it.

And that's the summary of the stream. The next stream will happen mid June, they will announce the date on their twitter account.

Taken back

Actually I wanted to post this since 2 days ago but I didn't know how to word it. I thought I will just write what happened.

2 days ago I was on the train back from work. I was of course on my 3DS trying to get as much progress as possible on my Etrian Odyssey 4 from my commute. About 2 stops away from my station, someone gave up a seat to an lady in her 80s. This is becoming a common thing which I am glad we are moving towards.

She was thanking the man in 50s for giving her the seat. Then she said something that I couldn't get out of my head. "It is such a pain with growing old. I can't stand for too long and do anything" The man asked how old is she. She says she is 80 and then she said,"I wish I am dead and be done with life".

The man quickly told her to not to think about living that way. Even gave her some money to make her day better. She thank that man profusely.

That statement "I wish I am dead and be done with life", it had so many things about it that kept me thinking even till now. I wanted to write what I thought but I thought I would like to hear some opinions about this.

Thanks again ahead of time for anyone who is willing to comment on this.

P.S. The conversation is spoken in Hokkien if anyone wondered. I can give the person the exact words she said in hokkien through an audio file since I have no idea how to word it in text.
